Two cameras, one tap
Support and answers to common questions
REC x2 records with the front and back cameras of your iPhone at the same time — your reaction and the moment in one take. Two full clips, nothing baked in: pick the layout afterwards, or combine them into one video.
Contact
Something not working, or an idea? Write to corp@perfectum.ae — we read every message. If it’s about a problem, mention your iPhone model and, if you can, copy the log from Settings → More → Diagnostics.
Which iPhones are supported?
iPhone XR, XS or newer with iOS 17 or later — recording from two cameras at once needs hardware that older models don’t have. Some lens pairs, such as telephoto, exist only on models with that lens. The newer the iPhone, the better the quality and the longer it stays cool.
A camera comes out sideways
Open Settings → More → Camera calibration and turn each preview until it’s upright. The correction is remembered for each lens.
Where are my recordings?
Inside the app, in the gallery. Tap Save to Photos to copy a clip there. In Settings → Storage you can choose whether clips saved to Photos are removed from the app after a few days to free up space.
How do I combine two clips into one?
Open a recording in the gallery and tap Combine. Choose picture-in-picture or split screen, drag and pinch the small window, and export. If you swapped cameras while recording, Combine can repeat those cuts.
Restoring purchases
Plus and Pro are one-time purchases tied to your Apple ID. On a new iPhone or after reinstalling, open Settings → Restore purchases.
iPhone gets warm
Two cameras work harder than one. When iPhone heats up, REC x2 lowers quality a little to keep recording; shorter takes and 30 fps help it cool down.
